FAQ

Frequently asked questions about data, plans, exports, monitoring and coverage.

Data

Where does Qope get its data? Exclusively from named US federal public registries -- FDA, CMS, HRSA, NIH and ONC. There is no proprietary panel and no licensed third-party feed. See Sources.

How current is it? Ingestion lag is usually hours to days, and every table shows a Last updated timestamp. Publication lag is much larger and varies by source: Medicare provider files describe a completed calendar year and appear roughly a year to eighteen months later. See Freshness.

Why does a figure show -- instead of 0? Because the source is silent, not because the value is zero. Qope never prints zero where it does not know.

Why do two Qope pages show different counts for the same thing? Usually because one excludes discontinuation notices and the other does not, or because one counts records and the other counts drugs. Every panel states what it counts. If a full table cannot express the same filter, Qope tells you rather than sending you to a view that disagrees.

Does Qope contain patient data? No. The Medicare files are aggregated and de-identified public files.

Is commercial payer data included? No. Medicare fee-for-service only.

Plans and access

What is locked on Regular? Six premium datasets (Facilities, Laboratories, ACO Networks, Prov Summary, Prov Services, Prov Drugs) and the Map. See Plans and Access.

Is there a trial? Yes -- 2 days on Regular and Pro, monthly or yearly. A trial resolves to Pro-level access.

What happens if I hit my credit limit? Data pages show a limit screen until the billing period rolls over or you upgrade. Nothing is deleted, and workspace pages keep working.

Do free aggregate counts cost me calls? No. The record counts on Home and on the database catalog are free on every plan, including for datasets you cannot open.

Where does the subscription live? On your personal account, even on Teams. Team members inherit access through membership.

Exports

How many rows can I export? Table exports are capped at 1,000 rows per file. Narrow your filters to export a specific slice.

Which formats? CSV and newline-delimited JSON. HubSpot and Salesforce formats are marked coming soon.

Do panel exports count against my export limit? No. Panel exports are generated in your browser from data already on the page.

Monitoring

How many things can I watch? Three per kind on Regular, 25 per kind on Pro and Teams. The kinds are drug, maker, market and county.

How often is Radar rechecked? On every visit, with upstream data cached for up to an hour. Tier 1 alerts are evaluated twice daily by a scheduled job, with a two-scan debounce.

Why did I not get an alert for a change I can see on the page? Alerts fire only for the five Tier 1 signals. Everything else appears in the weekly digest and in the "needs attention" section, not as an instant email.

Can I share a watchlist with my team? Not currently. Radar is personal. Lead lists are the shareable surface.

Workspace

What is the difference between a pin and a lead list? A pin is a bookmark on one record. A lead list is a pipeline with statuses, notes, follow-ups and team sharing.

Do saved filters sync between my devices? No. Saved filters and map cohorts live in your browser's local storage. Pins, lead lists and Radar live on your account.

Does a lead list built from filters update itself? No. It is a snapshot of the records matching when you saved it. Refresh updates the records already in it; it does not add newly matching ones.

Coverage

Can I see county-level maps? Not yet. The map is state-level, except facility pins which are plotted at real coordinates. Provider coordinates do not exist in the NPI registry.

Is there a search across everything? Global search is built but not released. It appears in the sidebar marked Soon.

Is there a public API? Not currently. Everything is accessed through the web interface, and usage is metered as credits.

Which countries are covered? The United States. Foreign manufacturers appear where FDA registers them, but the provider, facility and payer data are US only.
