Usage and Limits
How credits and dataset exports are metered, where to see your consumption, and what happens at the limit.
Open Usage -- from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
What uses a credit
Qope meters data reads, not page views. A credit is used when a page or action reads live data:
- Opening a database table, and each change of filters, sort or page
- Loading the values a table filter offers
- Opening a record page
- Opening Drug Profile, Patent Cliff, Shortages Tracker, Radar, Compare, Territory Brief, Map, Insights, Cohorts, Safety-Net Intel or EHR Intelligence
- Analyses run inside the Map
- Saving a filtered table as a lead list, refreshing a lead list, and preparing a lead list's CRM export
- Looking up prescribers from Radar (Find top prescribers and Who prescribes it)
These do not use credits:
- Home, including its record counts, and the database catalog counts. They are free on every plan, including for premium datasets you cannot open.
- Search
- Lead list pages, NPI Match, the Hub, Settings, Billing, Usage, Feedback and the documentation
Allowances
| Plan | Credits per month | Dataset exports per month |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | 10,000 | 100 |
| Pro | 250,000 | Unlimited |
| Teams | 1,000,000 | Unlimited |
Every export is capped at 1,000 rows.
Usage is counted per person. On Teams, each member's credits and exports are counted separately against the plan's allowance.
Usage is counted over your subscription's current billing period. Team members are counted over the owner's billing period. The Usage page shows the period and the date it resets.
What counts as an export
Each of these counts as one export against the export allowance, and none uses a credit:
- A table export (CSV or JSON) from a database table
- An Excel export from a provider, facility, ACO, Drug Profile or Territory Brief page
A table export that fails part-way is not counted. CSV downloads built from data already on a page, such as the Radar, Patent Cliff or EHR Intelligence downloads, are not counted.
On Teams, the owner can turn exports off for a seat from the Hub. That member's table and Excel exports are then blocked; a table export says "Exports are turned off for your seat by the team owner."
The Usage page
Shows, for the current period:
- Your plan, with the period start and end dates
- Credits used against the allowance, with a progress bar and the reset date
- CSV Exports used against the allowance, where the plan has one
- Plan Limits: your plan's credits and exports side by side
- An Upgrade Plan button if you are not on Teams
Progress bars turn amber at 80 percent and red at 90 percent.
The Credits meter
The Credits meter at the bottom of the sidebar, just above your name, shows the same figure: credits used against your allowance, with the same amber and red colours.
Database tables also show an Approaching Limit notice once you pass 80 percent of your credits or exports.
What happens at the limit
Reaching the credit limit does not cancel your subscription and does not delete anything. Data pages show Monthly Limit Reached with your count, your limit and an Upgrade Plan button. Lead list pages, NPI Match, search, the Hub, Settings and Billing keep working.
When the export allowance runs out, exports stop with "Monthly export limit reached. Please upgrade your plan." Pages keep loading.
Access resumes when the usage period resets, or immediately if you upgrade.
No active plan
Without an active subscription, every app page other than Billing and Settings takes you to the pricing section of the Qope website. See Plans and Billing.
Notes on counting
- The counter cannot overshoot. Two requests arriving at the same moment cannot both use the last remaining credit.
- One page load can read several datasets and still count as one credit.
- Some views intentionally use more than one credit where they do separate analytical work, for example a Map analysis on top of opening the Map.
