Teams and Members
Team accounts, seats, invitations, roles, team settings and what is shared.
Team features require a Teams plan. On other plans, Hub and Team Settings in the sidebar carry a padlock.
Creating a team account
If you hold a Teams subscription but have not created a team yet, Hub and Team Settings both show Create Your Team. Give the team a name and create it. You become its owner.
Team Settings
Open Team Settings -- in the sidebar under Team. The Manage team button on the Hub opens it too.
The page has three parts:
- Team Members -- current members with their role, the seat count, the Invite Members button, and pending invitations
- Team Name -- rename the team
- Danger Zone -- members can Leave Team here
Inviting
The owner uses Invite Members. Enter one or more email addresses and pick a role for each. Each invitation is emailed and expires after 7 days if it is not accepted. Pending invitations are listed with their expiry date until they are accepted or removed.
If an invitation takes the team past its 5 included seats, the dialog says how many paid seats it adds and asks you to confirm before sending.
Seats
| Seats | Detail |
|---|---|
| Included with Teams | 5 seats |
| Maximum | 15 seats |
| Additional seat | 750 USD per month, or 7,500 USD per year on yearly billing |
How seats are counted:
- A seat is a teammate other than the owner. The owner who holds the subscription does not take a seat.
- The members card shows seats in use against the maximum of 15. Pending invitations count toward that maximum.
- Additional seats are billed on the owner's subscription for each member beyond the 5 included. Adding a seat is charged prorated for the rest of the period. Removing one is not credited for the period already billed.
- A removed or departed member's seat keeps counting toward the maximum of 15 until the end of the current billing period.
When the team is at the maximum, the invite button disappears until a seat frees up.
Roles
There are two roles: Owner and Member.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Invite members, change roles, remove members, transfer ownership, rename the team, assign territory and turn exports on or off per seat on the Hub |
| Member | Rename the team, leave the team, and use every shared team feature |
The primary owner cannot be removed. Use Transfer Ownership from a member's row to hand the team to someone else.
Removing a member
Use Remove from Account from the member's row. Their access to the team, and to the team plan, ends. A lead list stays with the person who created it, so lists they had shared stop appearing for the rest of the team.
A member can also leave with Leave Team in the Danger Zone. They will need a new invitation to rejoin.
Hub
The Hub is the Teams overview page: shared library, record notes and claims, the team radar, seats and territory. See Team Hub.
