Explorer Search Improvements

Faster, smarter search across all datasets with fuzzy matching, filters, and instant previews.

We've shipped a major upgrade to search in the Explorer.

Fuzzy Matching

Search now handles typos, abbreviations, and partial matches. Looking for "pfizer"? We'll find it even if you type "pzifer" or "PFE".

Use prefixes to search within specific entity types:

  • trial: — Search clinical trials only
  • drug: — Search drugs and products
  • provider: — Search healthcare providers
  • site: — Search trial sites and facilities

Example: trial:oncology phase 3 returns only Phase 3 oncology trials.

Instant Previews

Hover over any result to see a preview card with key attributes, related entities, and quick actions — without leaving the search results.

Filter Persistence

Your active filters now persist across sessions. Come back tomorrow and pick up right where you left off.

Keyboard Navigation

Power users can now navigate search entirely with the keyboard:

  • ⌘K — Open search
  • ↑↓ — Navigate results
  • Enter — Open selected result
  • Tab — Jump to filters

These improvements are live now for all users.
